Meet Our Sales Team

Julian Pennells

Director, Salesman & Estimator

Julian has been a major player in the business since 1986, when he joined the team at the age of 17. He spent the first 18 years of his life at Pennells Carpets as a fitter, learning all the tricks of the trade and growing in expertise, helping the business build its reputation and form its loyal customer base. In 2004, he put down his tools and became a part of our sales team. Fast forward 16 years, he has now been based in our Heathfield shop for the last 10 years, and works alongside the rest of our expert sales team, with all the knowledge he has gathered during his 34 years in the business.

Stephen McLellan

Salesman & Estimator

Steve joined Pennells Carpets in 1996 and is now one of our longest standing team members with almost 25 years of experience. He spent the first 8 years of his time with us in our Uckfield branch learning the ropes and helping the business to grow, before moving over to our Heathfield shop to continue gaining knowledge and becoming the expert salesman and estimator he is today. For the last 8 years he has been back at the Uckfield branch continuing to build his reputation with the loyal customers that he’s worked with over the years, and will be shortly joining the rest of the team back in Heathfield.

Chris Shaw

Salesman & Estimator

Chris has been a full-time member of our expert sales team for the last 16 years, since 2004, working both in the Uckfield branch and more recently in Heathfield, alongside Julian, for the past 2 years. Throughout his 16 years at Pennells Carpets, Chris has honed his craft and expanded his knowledge within the business, building a trusting relationship with his loyal customers. The experience he has been able to gather over his years with us, alongside the other members of our expert team, has allowed him to grow into the excellent salesman and estimator that he is today.
